In 2016 we kicked off the #RadicalChildcare learning community to open up themes of the #RadicalChildcare project for discussion, hosting conversations around the research and ideas behind the project as it grows. Our first four were an eclectic mix of multimedia and hosts, check out the previous sessions and content here. We are excited to launch a new series of learning circle sessions this Spring as we continue to develop and grow the #RadicalChildcare movement.

This week, we look at contrasting sources with the overarching focus of children and the workplace. Our first source is a range of videos and a book called ‘Family Business’ that can be ordered online or in the Impact Hub Birmingham library, a look at the pioneering company Patagonia who have embedded innovative practice into their company for the last 30 years. There is also a second paper, that is a bit more technical and shows the impact of women in the workplace, when they have children. We will have open discussion about the issues and opportunities raised through these two provocations.
